On my previous video http://12seconds.tv/channel/jimatwood/209815, I used transitions from frame to frame. Due to the short time frame, this caused the quality of the video to be reduced slightly. On “Ropography japan”, my second video I elected to remove the transitions except for the last frame. I think with photos that have more detail, this retains the quality for the most part. Again the video was rendered Youtube style in HD in 16:9 (Widescreen). On a test run I used 4:3 (TV) and it came out like total crap. The 16:9 looks much better but obviously there could be other settings involved that I am missing. Note that I’m on a PC.

I just “finally” finished up getting a JQuery Carousel Slide Feature up on Ricochehost. You can see it on the front bpage of Ricochehost.com at the bottom until I find a new home for it. It was a bit challenging to get the JQuery code working with this but I finally got it to show correctly on my Firefox and IE browsers. I also managed to get it integrating well with Wordpress posts so that I can feature them. The customization possibilities for this are unlimited and I’m looking forward to exploring this JQuery stuff further. In fact, I’ll have to create some custom pages to highlight these JQuery projects I’m getting involved in. Great fun although it’s still difficult to find stable working examples to draw from.
