Flickrjapan.com has a new look from this week sporting a brand new theme and some additional custom features. FlickrJapan includes photography, videos, and Jim Atwood Photography updates from Flickr.

Recently I developed my JimAtwood.TV website and used a custom theme from Press75 called VodPod. The theme was a challenge to customize because the javascript was a bit finicky. Not all plugins work with this site and the FancyBox JQuery script doesn’t work with IE8. That is more of a problem with IE8 I feel, so it’s best to use any other browser such as Firefox 3.5 to view the site at it’s best. The theme is great and it was fun customizing it. You can check out the site at http://www.jimatwood.tv.

Nikon DSLR Site sports a New Look

NikonDSLR.com has a new look. You can check it out at http://www.nikondslr.com. The site uses a custom theme from WooThemes that sports additional custom sections. This is an older theme so the tricky part was refining the backend so that it would load fast. I think it looks fresh and modern now. There are lots of cool JQuery features with this site as well. It was a lot of fun putting it together.

Jim Atwood Photography has a new look over at http://www.jimatwoodphotography.com. The website is running on a premium blog setup by Jim from Ricochehost. The site sports all of the plugins found on the front page of Ricochehost and so far everything works really well. The theme variation from WooThemes. There is a lot of customization in the backend and so far it has been a dream to use. Not that it’s done, I’ll be able to head out this weekend with the camera and take some new pictures. I need a short break from coding and design work. Happy shooting!

Ricochehost is up and running with a clean new look. Over the years, Ricochehost has gone through a few theme changes and I think the new result today looks pretty good. I’ll be adding more content and information more this week along with a possible forum section again. I have quite a few vBulletin licenses I need to use. In addition, Ricochehost is running pretty much all of the Wordpress plugins listed on the front page. As always there are a few like “simple tags” that has yet to fully function with Wordpress 2.8, but that will change. Stay tuned for updates which I’ll either post here on add to the comments. The Backstreets of Nagano

A couple of gals walking along a backstreet in Nagano near Zenkoji Temple. I thought this scene captured essence of Japan pretty well with the scooter and lantern. Also note that sun umbrellas are very popular in Japan. This is also one of the many shortcut streets the run along parallel to Zenkoji. If you take this backstreet you’ll bypass a ton of people. It’s amazing more Japanese people don’t realize this.

Ageha Hair Make Show in Nagano Japan

The girl to the right is a manager at our Diva Hair Salon Branch in Nagano City, Japan. She is a very good hair stylist and we use her a lot at Photoshoots.

Photos were taken with a Keitai or Cell Phone by a Hair Stylist from our Salon. The quality is low and the shots were difficult to get, but you at least get an idea of what the show was like.

We are collecting information for an upcoming Photoshoot and Workshop we’ll be conducting over the summer with regards to the Ageha Hairstyle for both fashion and weddings.

I’m a big fan of the Gal Style in Japan for those who don’t already know. I run a J-Gal community website at www.ricoche.net which is very popular among gals all around the world.
